the campaign apparatus will be headquartered in the city where president  has lived for decades

in Wilmington, the Delaware city

Biden said My family's values, my eternal optimism and my unwavering belief in the American middle class as our nation's backbone comes from my home – from Delaware, "That's why there is no better place for our re-election campaign to have its headquarters."

Biden, as a U.S. senator representing Delaware, frequently took the Amtrak train back home for weekends, earning the nickname "Amtrak Joe."

President Joe Biden's campaign criticized former President Donald Trump on Tuesday for his town hall event in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, calling it a "softball" event.

Biden campaign spokesman Kevin Munoz slammed Trump for sitting for an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, saying the former president opts for "softball town halls" where it is unlikely "he’ll be held accountable for his broken promises and failed policies."

MUNOZ SAID, "President Biden has succeeded where the former president couldn't, helping create nearly 800,000 manufacturing jobs that actually exist throughout the country and strengthening our competitive edge around the world,"

Trump's interview comes the same day the 2024 GOP front-runner announced he received a target letter from special counsel Jack Smith's investigation into his involvement with the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, indicating a third indictment against him is likely.

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung rejected Munoz's claims, saying under Trump's first term, "America was more prosperous, the border was secure, communities were safe, and America was respected on the world stage."
