Elon Musk seems to have confirmed that his cage fight with Mark Zuckerberg is happening as planned. The billionaire announced that the event will be livestreamed on his social-media platform, X. While Musk shared his intentions, Zuckerberg has yet to respond, except for an enigmatic Instagram story post saying, “Send Me Location.”

On X (formerly known as Twitter), Musk expressed that the highly anticipated cage fight will indeed be live-streamed on the platform. However, specific details about the date and time remain undisclosed, pending Zuckerberg’s input.

Musk also revealed that the fight’s proceeds will be directed towards charity for veterans. Additionally, he declared his readiness to take on the Meta chief, stating that he’s preparing for the confrontation by “lifting weights throughout the day.”

According to reports, the owner of X (formerly known as Twitter), Elon Musk, shared that he brings weights to work due to his busy schedule, making it challenging to find time for regular workouts. In a recent livestream video on the X platform to test out its features, Musk was seen doing a bicep curl with a dumbbell. As he lifted the weight, he remarked, “This is me curling a 45, so there you go.” It appears that Musk is making efforts to incorporate exercise into his daily routine despite his demanding responsibilities.

In June, after Elon Musk criticized Meta’s plans to launch Threads, a dispute arose between the two tech leaders and rivals. A user on X warned Musk to “be careful” because Mark Zuckerberg practices jiu-jitsu. In response, Musk challenged Zuckerberg to a cage match. Surprisingly, Zuckerberg quickly accepted the invitation on an Instagram story, writing, “Send Me Location.”

According to Dana White, the president of UFC, both Musk and Zuckerberg are “absolutely dead serious” about fighting each other, and he personally talked to them on the phone.

There have been discussions about the possibility of the fight taking place at the Colosseum in Rome, with representatives from Dana White reaching out to senior Italian government officials after Italy’s culture minister approached Zuckerberg with the idea. However, no official announcement has been made yet regarding the date and location of the potential duel.

Insider’s request for comment made outside normal working hours was not immediately responded to by Meta, X, or Elon Musk.
